ROCHFORD Hundred’s Mark Billings will bring up a century of appearances for the club this weekend.

Billings, who can play at full-back or on the wing, will line up for Hundred for the 100th time when they head to Henley in National Two South tomorrow.

And Rochford coach Danny Cleare was quick to congratulate Billings on reaching the landmark.

“Mark Billings is making his 100th appearance for the club which is a great achievement,” said Cleare.

“It’s well deserved and congratulations go to him too.”

Rochford, who are playing at this level for the first time in their history, head into the game sitting third from bottom in the standings.

And Cleare is expecting another hard game against a Henley side who are currently fifth in the table.

“We’re expecting a tough fixture this weekend,” said Cleare.

“When we played them last time they had a huge pack and arguably the best line-out we have faced.

“They were very efficient in everything they did.”

However, Cleare is looking forward to the challenge having waited a fortnight to bounce back from a disappointing 46-7 defeat to Barnes.

“The team has had a few late changes due to injury and illness but we’re very determined to put in a good account of ourselves after a disappointing finish to our last game,” said Cleare.

“The break is always nice just to step back and refresh and clear the mind ready for the last block of fixtures so I know the boys appreciated the time off. “
