ON LOAN Southend United striker Matt Dennis says he is not thinking beyond the end of this season.
Dennis is with the Shrimpers for the rest of the campaign.
But he is yet to contemplate what will come next.
“I'm still not focusing on that right now,” said Dennis.
“I’ll play until the end of the season and then think about next season then.”
Dennis is out of contract with the Canaries in the summer and seems unlikely to stay at Carrow Road.
But the striker remains focused on the Shrimpers and bouncing back from Saturday’s disappointing 2-0 defeat at Yeovil Town.
“It was a poor start which wasn’t like us so I was shocked,” said Dennis.
“It just wasn’t like us but there’s not much else to say about it now.
“We have to look forward to the next game.”
Blues, who now sit 13th in the National League standings, host Notts County this weekend.
And Dennis is hopeful of being involved despite having to go off with a knee injury against the Glovers.
“I wasn’t too sure to start with and I thought I had done something a lot worse than it is but it seems OK,” said the 19-year-old.
“I’ve recovered so hopefully I’ll be coming back in to training soon and fingers crossed I’ll be OK for Saturday.
“I just want to keep doing well because that can lead on to next season.”
Dennis has scored eight goals in 24 appearances for Blues this season.
