FORMER Southend United loanee Zak Brunt will be back at Roots Hall tomorrow with Notts County.

Brunt impressed while with Blues earlier this season.

And Shrimpers boss Kevin Maher knows just how dangerous the Sheffield United midfielder can be despite him finding opportunities harder to come by with County.

“Zak was brilliant for us and he’s a good footballer,” said Maher.

“We loved having him around the place and I know he enjoyed his time here too.

“He made the decision to join Notts County and at the time it was the right decision.

“Good luck to him but if he comes back and plays hopefully he won’t hurt us too much.

“They have a number of good players though and they can hurt you from a number of different areas.

"Zak is just one of a number who can be part of that for them.”

Brunt made 10 appearances while with Blues but the 20-year-old has made just three starts since joining Notts County in January.
