ROCHFORD Hundred were beaten 85-14 by Clifton in National Two South.
Lewis Brunger and Jake Spivey both scored tries in the setback at Magnolia Road.
But Clifton showed just why they are third in the table with a strong showing.
Elsewhere, Westcliff were unable to fulfil their fixture at Worthing on Saturday.
The National Two South fixture had been due to take place in West Sussex at the weekend but the match did not take place as Westcliff were unable to get enough players.
There was also disappointment for Southend Saxons on Saturday as they lost 22-10 to Brentwood in the Essex Cup final at Warners Bridge.
