SOUTHEND United fans have their say on Monday's 1-1 draw with Weymouth at Roots Hall.

Worst team I’ve seen us play this season. Dominated possession, they had one chance and took it, however we hardly tested their goalkeeper. Sitting in the south upper I’ve never nearly been hit by the ball so much, and I’m not even close to behind the goal. Strikers poor today!

@SuffolkNat

Thought we did really well against the lowest of all blocks and squad we had available. Weymouth were one of the poorest teams I have seen at RH,offered less than zero. Kensdale looks a seriously good player in the middle of three. Some good work in the summer it could be very positive.

@MPato_1987

Another shambolic display against a team that parked the bus and had one shot at goal all game. Bridge superb but without a proper goalscorer we won't win many games at this level.Neal again controlled the game but how do you replace a player wth so much talent and energy ?

@YeattsMatthew

We totally dominated and should have won easily. They scored with their only chance and were the worst team with played this season. But underlines our problem in that we score very few goals. Just eight in the last 13 games is just not good enough and needs improving for next season.

@tommyharris57

Still plenty of work to be done but nice to see us dominating possession and creating so many chances. Need to finish teams off and be more decisive in front of goal. Arnold not even tested. Bridge superb, Gard, Neal and Davies impressive. Nice to see Wood and Benton get a run out.

@Justin_Dijkstra

These games happen, still think some perspective is needed. We’ve got a lot of players out injured, we were giving some lads a go and controlled throughout. Shame we couldn’t win it but performance was fine from a side who mostly aren’t first choice when we’re at full strength.

@samgoody23

No quality on the right going forward, desperately need a right winger, strong midfielder and somebody that can score and create chances. Our shooting and crossing going forward awful, other than Bridge who is too good for this level. Effort cannot be faulted, it’s final ball.

@MikeJon30206092

Chance after chance! Had at least a dozen corners - in the first half. Simply not clinical enough and they had nine outfield players in the box whenever we attacked. However, decent goal by Powell but less said about the penalty...

@SimonGDodd

Plenty of effort and application. Plenty of time on the ball. But also plenty of dreadful decision making when in extremely dangerous offensive positions. We desperately need to work on composure in the final third.

@Ice_Speedway

Strange and frustrating game, missed a player like Murphy. He scored 8+ goals at start of season in a bad team, interested to see what he could do in a team that's creating. Davies had his best game so far, looked far more assured today on decision making, well done Lewis Gard.

@SearchTerry

The way the game started, how much possession we had, and how woeful Weymouth were, we should have seen them off, typical though, the one attempt they had, they scored from . Good to see Gard and Wood included more, and Benton making his well deserved debut.

@steveg671

With two games in three days, Weymouth relegated and SUFC guaranteed a mid table finish, I didn't expect much more than what we got. Good run out for some of the younger lads against a team that didn't threaten. Congrats to Benton who looks a very good prospect!!

@SenseiPhil2

A game of attack vs defence, we should have won comfortably. Weymouth had one chance and took it when we should have already been out of sight. It's all about next season now. Go out and enjoy the last game of the season play with freedom.
