MATT Rush bagged an injury time leveller for Chelmsford City against Concord Rangers tonight.

The Beach Boys seemed set for all three points at Melbourne Park with James Blanchfield firing them in front just four minutes before the break.

But Rush – who is on loan at the Clarets from Southend United – netted at the death on a difficult pitch, much to the frustration of Concord boss Chris Search.

“The pitch, to be fair to both teams, is not in the best of nick and it dictated how we set up and wanted to play today,” Search told Concord’s Twitter account.

“For the neutral it was a poor game to observe but we did the non-negotiables quite well.

“Robbie (Simpson) has got them set up well and they’re a decent side.

“I think they’ll be strong next year and we look forward to coming back.

“But overall we were 1-0 up in the 91st minute and I’d thought we’d done enough.

“They slung the keeper up and it created a bit of confusion and they’ve got the tap in at the end so it’s very disappointing for us.”

Concord are now 15th in the National League South standings and host Welling United in the final game of the season this weekend.
