SOUTHEND United boss Kevin Maher is already looking forward to having a full pre-season with his Shrimpers squad.
The Blues chief bolstered his squad with a number of players who made the step up from part time football during January.
And Maher is certain they will all benefit from hitting the ground running next term.
“Harry Cardwell is definitely someone who will benefit from a full pre-season but we have a few like that,” said Maher.
“Noor (Husin) is the same and so are Callum Powell and Jack Wood.
“I think they will all be better for having a full pre-season after coming in and having to train and play straight away which can be hard.
“It will do them the world of good.”
