HARRISON Neal will complete his Southend United loan spell with Sunday’s clash against Torquay United.

But the popular midfielder – who is with Blues from Sheffield United – has yet to consider his long term future.

Neal has impressed in the centre of the park since signing for the Shrimpers on a temporary basis in January.

But he has yet to discuss his plans for next season.

“I’m not sure to be honest about next year and I’ve not really spoken to Sheffield United,” said Neal.

“I’ll go back there and will find out their plans for me but I’ve not really thought about it at the moment.”

Neal has made 21 appearances while with the Shrimpers.

And he has thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

“I’ve loved every minute here,” said Neal.

“The lads have been good and I’ve settled in well.

“The management team have been good and the fans have been unbelievable.

“It’s been a good second half of the season too.

“It’s just a shame we weren’t together from the start because we could’ve been up there.

“All in all it’s been good though.

“We’ve secured safety and hopefully set good foundations for next season.”

But Neal has not finished yet and is keen to end the season a high by beating Torquay in the final outing of the season on Sunday.

“There’s that saying isn’t there about people being on the beach but I don’t agree with that,” said Neal.

“All footballers will try and win every game they play.

“We certainly want to win and we want to give the fans something to cheer about in the last game.”
