CRICKET: Hadleigh & Thundersley head to Chelmsford tomday looking to build on an impressive win against Brentwood.

Hadleigh triumphed by seven wickets last time out to move up to third in the Premier Division standings.

And skipper Sam Handley remains overjoyed by his side’s efforts.

“I can’t be more proud of the boys to be honest,” said Handley.

“I thought the way we started the game with the ball and in the field was brilliant.

“We didn’t let them have a sniff from the start and we realise as a club how big that victory is against a team with some hugely talented professionals.”

However, Hadleigh will not be resting on their laurels and are now keen to secure more success against seventh placed Chelmsford.

“There are no easy games in this league and Saturday is the best example of that,” said Handley.

“After Brentwood we follow up with the league winners last year.

“They’re a team full of match winners with bat and ball.

“However if we perform like we did on Saturday I am confident we can beat anyone in this league.
