NEW Grays Athletic manager, Lewis Dark, has been busy in the transfer market – bringing in seven new players to bolster his squad ahead of the coming season.

As the majority of last year’s squad staying loyal to the Blues, things are looking good for another promotion push this upcoming season.

First in were attacking midfielder Kieran Jones, who joins from Barking and Courteney Homans, a key defender for Walthamstow in their promotion team last season, who was chosen in the Essex Senior League Team of the Year.

They were soon joined by striker Brian Moses, back at Grays after nine years away and last seen at neighbours Tilbury.

Next to sign were experienced midfielder Rob Clark, who joins Grays from rivals Maldon and Tiptree and the versatile Malaki Toussaint, from Romford.

The two most recent signings have been forward Josh Osude, who has played around the county, scoring twice against the Blues last season for Witham and the every-popular and much-travelled Correy Davidson, back for his third spell with Grays.

Leaving the Blues for pastures new have been Jack McQueen, Kai Brown, Freddie Moncur, David Knight and Callum Leahy.

Club Press Officer, Stewart Goshawk said “With a new men’s first XI management team in Lewis Dark and Ash Miller, together with a new ladies’ manager, the vastly-experienced Judan Ali, this is a really exciting time for the Blues.

“These new signings by Lewis will give the men’s team a great boost for the coming season, creating a real competition for places in the starting eleven.

“With a full pre-season fixture list already in place, things are looking good for an exciting season ahead.”
