RYAN Peniston’s Wimbledon campaign is over after he was beaten in the first round of the doubles this afternoon.
Wakering’s Peniston and his playing partner Alastair Gray trailed 2-1 against Belgian Joran Vliegen and American Jackson Withrow overnight but battled hard to win the fourth set on a tie-break when the match resumed this afternoon.
However, the future housemates were unable to complete the comeback as Vliegen and Withrow won the deciding set 6-4 to advance into the second round.
