He finished one shot clear of Matt Swain, who scored a weekend best 69 on Sunday, following a 73 on Saturday for a 142 total.

A solid performance from Ian Bartley saw him win the Handicap Cup with Nett scores of 68 – 69.

Mid Handicap Championship was won by Robert Banks with two excellent Nett scores of 63 - 63 ( Gross 75-75) to decimate the rest of the field.

Boyce Hill also had an impressive victory for the Norman Plum Team with a 4.5 - 1.5 victory against Clacton on Sea.

An impressive away performance saw a 2-1 victory with an impressive 6&5 victory for Lindsay Rungasamy and Matt Evans.

The team now face Wanstead in the quarter-finals.

In the Thornton Cup, Boyce Hill entered the plate this year with a tricky draw against Muswell Hill.

The plate format sees the 10 man team split into five home and five away individual matches.
