SOUTHEND United boss Kevin Maher has wished Jayden Randell well after the Concord Rangers defender suffered a suspected broken leg against the Shrimpers.
Randell was treated for close to 10 minutes before being stretchered off following a challenge with Blues defender Luke Reeve.
And Maher is hoping the defender will be back in action as quickly as possible.
“First and foremost we hope Jayden is OK and we wish him our best as a club,” said Maher.
“They came together for the challenge and Reevesy feels bad but he shouldn’t do because it was a fair tackle.
“Unfortunately Jayden has come out of it in a bad way.
“Fingers crossed the break is not as bad as they can be and that he recovers as quickly as possible.”
And Concord Rangers have vowed to support the defender.
The club tweeted: "Like a family we as a club will do everything in our power to support Jayden, his family and his dog during recovery."
