SOUTHEND United boss Kevin Maher does not expect to add to his squad before the National League season starts tomorrow.
Blues host Boreham Wood in their opening fixture of the campaign tomorrow.
But Maher is not anticipating any late additions ahead of the first game.
“Not before the weekend in all honesty,” said Maher when asked about possible new signings.
“We’re going through lists of who is available but it’s difficult right at the start of the season.
“People want to keep hold of who they’ve got but we’re looking.”
Blues have made eight signings so far this summer with Gus Scott-Morriss, Louis Lomas, Dan Mooney, Harry Taylor, Cav Miley, Wes Fonguck, Chris Wreh and Jake Hyde all joining.
