SOUTHEND United boss Kevin Maher expects Tom Clifford to be fit enough to face Halifax Town on Tuesday night - despite the defender suffering a suspected broken nose.
Clifford had to be taken off with the injury midway through the second half against Solihull Moors on Saturday.

“We haven’t had it confirmed it’s broken but it does look that way,” said Maher.
“He took a whack on the nose on Saturday and that’s what defenders do.
“He’s a proper defender now that’s happened!
“It’s part and parcel of football unfortunately but he trained today and should be OK.”
