HALIFAX Town manager Chris Millington felt his side deserved more than a point against Southend United.

The match at the Shay ended in a 0-0 draw on Tuesday night.

But Millington thought Halifax dominated the second half.

"I think we deserved to win it on the balance of play,” said Millington.

"The first half was fairly even, obviously they got the penalty and that's a big opportunity for them.

“Sam Johnson's done very well to keep it out and it's a very good save.

"But again, we've been so dominant in the second-half that it should have resulted in a win."

Blues will also have been frustrated not to win after Callum Powell failed to convert a first half penalty.

But Millington did not agree with the decision to award the spot-kick in the first place.

"It didn't look like it to me but I'm going to try my best not to point fingers and blame referees because I know they have a difficult job,” said Millington.

"The biggest frustration is inconsistency and I think we witnessed some inconsistency.

“But they're human and they've got a very difficult job so we'll forgive them."
