SOUTHEND United midfielder Noor Husin is ‘touch and go’ for Saturday’s match with Oldham Athletic at Roots Hall.

Husin missed Tuesday’s clash at Halifax Town with a knee problem.

And Blues boss Kevin Maher is not yet sure if Husin will be fit enough to feature this weekend.

“Noor is touch and go,” said Maher.

“We will leave that as long as possible to see where he’s at.”

Blues will again be without strikers Jake Hyde (hamstring), Rhys Murphy (knee) and Harry Cardwell (ankle) while midfielder Harry Taylor (knee) is also sidelined.

Gus Scott-Morriss is not yet ready to be included despite returning to full training yesterday but Maher is hopeful left-back Tom Clifford will be available again despite a broke nose.

“Hopefully Tom will be OK,” said Maher.

“We did think he would be able to play on Tuesday but it was still causing him problems around the nose and eye area.

“There’s a mask if he needs one and that allows him to play the game if needed.”

Blues will definitely welcome back Jason Demetriou from a three match ban.

And Maher must now choose between the former Cyprus international and youngster Jaden Crowhurst who has done well in the last two games.

"Jaden has done ever so well in two tough away games we’ve had," said Maher.

"We will decide on that tomorrow but it’s good to have JD back and it’s decent competition too."
