SOUTHEND United goalkeeper Steve Arnold is still receiving treatment on a troublesome back injury.
Arnold dropped out of the starting line-up during the warm up before Saturday’s 1-0 win against Oldham Athletic.
And Blues boss Kevin Maher is still not sure if the shot-stopper will be fit enough to face Eastleigh this weekend.
“Steve has been receiving treatment this week and we will see how he is today and tomorrow,” said Maher.
“He’s still been a bit sore but we’ll know more in the next couple of days.”
Collin Andeng Ndi stepped in to replace Arnold against Latics last time out.
And Maher would have no qualms calling upon the youngster once again.
“Without having loads to do, Collin looked composed and showed good levels of maturity which for a young keeper was pretty impressive,” said Maher.
“It’s certainly not a problem if he plays again.”
