FORMER Southend United winger Ashley Nathaniel-George has joined Maidenhead United.

The 27-year-old scored twice in 32 games for the Shrimpers during the 2020/21 campaign before being released at the end of last season.

Nathaniel-George spent time on trial with Aldershot during the summer before kicking off the season with Torquay United.

But, after just one appearance for the Gulls, Nathaniel-George has moved on to Maidenhead and he was with their squad for Monday's match at Roots Hall.

Nathaniel-George also becomes the fourth ex Blues players in the Magpies squad as he will join Kane Ferdinand, Emile Acquah, Sam Barratt and Shawn McCoulsky at York Road.
