Barkingside lead with 65 points from 26 matches, while Enfield 1893 are a point behind from level games.
Canvey's Concord are in third spot, six points behind the top dogs with a game in hand.
Enfield host Clapton tomorrow with Barkingside perhaps having the toughest test of the three with a visit to Barking.
Concord go to Aveley to take on Mauri-tius Sports & Pennant before preparing for a vital visit to Enfield on Tuesday. Clapton host Barkingside the same night.
Southend Manor entertain Burnham Ramblers tomorrow and Basildon United visit Stansted.
Bowers & Pitsea host Hullbridge Sports, having made further progress in the Essex Thames-side Trophy in midweek.
They pulled off a superb 2-0 success over Ryman One North play-off-chasing Maldon Town thanks to a second-half brace from Chris Lewis after 75 and 79 minutes.
They will now visit the winners of the Aveley v Brimsdown Rovers quarter-final being played on Monday, April 14.
Incidentally, the following night, will see Canvey host Ilford in the semi-finals. Aveley are the holders.
Other matches tomorrow: Beaumont Athletic v Romford; London APSA v Sawbridgeworth.
