ECHOSPORT talks to Wealdstone fan Luca Rossetto ahead of Saturday's match with Southend United.

Wealdstone are currently sixth in the table. What have you made of the start of the season?

"It’s been a magnificent start to the season, only one loss in nine games and seven games unbeaten. Stu (Maynard) and Matty (Saunders) have set us out to play football the proper and is fantastic to watch week in, week out."

Have there been many changes to the squad since last season?

"It is pretty similar, however we did lose four key players in George Wickens, Conor McAvoy, Aaron Henry and Josh Umerah.

"But we have replaced them with real talented players who deserve to be playing week in week out."

What are your hopes and targets for this season?

"As a part time team, we still need to be realistic.

"Our aim is to build on our 16th place finish last year so I think mid table (10th-14th) is a good aim."

Nathan Ferguson joined Wealdstone from Blues last season. How has he been playing for you?

"Recently, Nathan’s really coming out and showing his real qualities.

"He's really good on the ball, can find a pass and certainly has a strike on him.

"I told him he needs to shoot more so hopefully he gets his first goal Saturday!"

Who is the dangerman?

"Rhys Browne is easily our best player.

"He's our top goal scorer, so composed on the ball and knows where the back of the net is "

What's the team news for Saturday?

"Deji and Max Kretchmar weren’t involved in our 1-1 draw against Torquay, which we should’ve won, but I hope to see them back.

"Apart from that, we should be fully fit."
