SOUTHEND United defender Gus Scott-Morriss has had his suspension confirmed after being sent off at Wealdstone on Saturday.

The right wing-back was shown two yellow cards during the 1-0 victory.

And he has now been handed a one match ban, ruling him out of this weekend’s clash with Yeovil Town at Roots Hall.

Speaking after the final whistle on Saturday, Blues boss Kevin Maher insisted Blues could have no complaints about the decision. 

Scott-Morriss looks set to be replaced in the starting line-up by Jason Demetriou.
