A SCAN on Steve Arnold’s troublesome back injury has shown up a different problem for the Southend United goalkeeper.
Arnold has been out injured since mid-August.
But the club’s medical staff are now focusing on a problem with his hip.
Blues boss Kevin Maher said: “He's had the scan and it’s shown something on his hip which needs to be looked at further.
“We need to decide which way we go about it with treatment and really get to the bottom of it.”
And Maher is still unable to confirm a date for the keeper’s return “It’s not something I’d be able to give,” said Maher.
Arnold has missed the Shrimpers last eight matches and has been replaced between the sticks by Collin Andeng Ndi.
