CONCORD Rangers secured a 1-1 draw with Welling United at the Aspect Arena this afternoon.

The visitors had Sid Nelson sent off after 21 minutes but opened the scoring three minutes later with Taylor Maloney on target.

The Beach Boys levelled in the 34th minute with Louis Ramsey on target but they had to settle for a share of the spoils after failing to make their extra man count.

However, the point did see Rob Small’s side work their way up to 19th in the National League South standings.

In the Isthmian Premier, sixth placed Canvey Island won 4-1 at Herne Bay while Billericay Town went 10th after beating Horsham 5-3 at New Lodge.

Bowers & Pitsea, who are 19th, lost 1-0 at second placed Potters Bar Town.

In Isthmian North, Hashtag United moved up to fifth in the table after beating 18th placed Wroxham 2-1 but there was defeat for 11th placed East Thurrock who lost 4-0 at home to Maldon & Tiptree whose win moved them up to 17th.

Basildon United went 14th with a 2-0 win against bottom of the table Coggeshall Town while 13th placed Great Wakering Rovers drew 2-2 at second from bottom Gorleston.

Hullbridge Sports are 16th after losing 4-1 at Heybridge Swifts.

In the Essex Senior League, 15th placed White Ensign lost 4-2 at home to Ilford while bottom of the table Southend Manor were beaten 2-0 by Halstead Town at Southchurch Park.
