SOUTHEND United are again expected to be missing four strikers for Saturday’s clash with Altrincham.

Rhys Murphy remains sidelined with an ankle injury.

And Blues boss Kevin Maher is also likely to be without Jake Hyde (hamstring), Callum Powell (knee) and Harry Cardwell.

“We are what we are,” said Maher.

“Hydey won’t be fit and Powelly is struggling to make the weekend too.

“Cards is still on his return to play after the injection so it looks like we are what we are.

“But we’re strong and at home with the crowd right behind us we’ll always look to take the game to the opposition. “

Goalkeeper Steve Arnold is still out with a hip problem while midfielder Noor Husin remains doubtful with a groin problem which has seen him miss the last three games.

“Noor has been out on the grass with the physio and Stef (Russo) doing some work,” said Maher.

“He’s stepped that up the last few days but it’s very doubtful he will be fit for Saturday.”

Goalkeeper Blondy Nna Noukeu is pushing for a recall as Blues bid to bounce back from two defeats in succession.
