SOUTHEND United midfielder Dan Mooney has yet to discover the full extent of his injury.
Mooney was stretchered off during the latter stages of Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Altrincham.
But Blues boss Kevin Maher does not know how long Mooney will be out for at this stage.
“He’s going for a scan tonight,” said Maher, speaking on Thursday lunchtime.
“We’ve had to wait for the swelling to go down before he could have a scan and we will have more news on the injury once we get the results from it."
Mooney has scored twice in 17 games so far this season and will not be fit for Saturday’s trip to Boreham Wood.
