NEWCASTLE United’s Isaac Hayden has helped a GoFundMe page launched to raise funds for Darlington defender Paddy Almond top the £10,000 mark.
Almond suffered a bleed on the brain during the Quakers’ 2-1 defeat at Southend United on Saturday.
And concerned supporters have been making donations to the page which was set up to help with out-of-pocket expenses for the 20-year-old and his family.
Hayden – who played for Southend United in his youth and has been at Newcastle since 2016 – has donated £1,000 while ex Blues loanee David Stockdale has donated £250.
The GoFundMe page can be found here.
