SOUTHEND United’s Essex Senior Cup clash at Braintree Town has been postponed.
The clash was originally due to take place at Roots Hall this evening but was switched to Cressing Road to protect Blues’ pitch.
However, the match has now had to be called off due to the Iron’s pitch being frozen.
The Shrimpers had been expected to select the fit-again Gus Scott-Morriss and Jake Hyde in their starting line-up.
But a new date for the tie will now have to be arranged.
