GUS Scott-Morriss and Jake Hyde will both be available for Southend United’s clash with Eastleigh this weekend.

Scott-Morriss has not played since just before Christmas after his appendix removed while Hyde played the final few seconds of the Shrimpers’ 2-1 win against Darlington a fortnight ago after recovering from a hamstring problem.

But boss Kevin Maher will be able to call upon both players for tomorrow’s match at Roots Hall.

“Gus and Hydey have trained this week and they’ve come through the sessions they needed to,” said Maher.

“They’re ready and available if needed which is important so squad wise we’re looking OK.”

However, goalkeepers Collin Andeng Ndi and Steve Arnold are both still unavailable.

Andeng Ndi has not played since November due to a hamstring problem while Arnold has been out since August with a hip injury.

And both shot-stoppers are sidelined again this weekend.

“Collin and Arnie have been out training on the grass but they’re still a bit off in terms of being able to play,” said Maher.

“They’ve both been out quite a while and they’re not ready to play games as of yet.”

Blondy Nna Noukeu will continue between the sticks but striker Chris Wreh and midfielder Dan Mooney are both still sidelined with knee injuries.

“Chris is doing gym work at the minute and he hasn’t been outside on the grass,” said Maher.

“He’s still going to be a little way off.

“Moons has done some straight line work out on the pitch so hopefully he will be able to push on the back end of this week and the start of next.”

Wreh missed the FA Trophy win against Darlington a fortnight ago with the injury and is not yet return to return.

Mooney has been sidelined since the start of December after picking up the injury in a 2-2 draw with Altrincham.
