SCUNTHORPE United have announced Jimmy Dean as their new manager.
The 40-year-old won four promotions in five completed seasons in charge of Peterborough Sports.
And he will now be turning his attentions towards the Iron who are currently second from bottom in the National League standings.
Scunthorpe, like Southend, are under a transfer embargo following a winding up petition from HMRC.
However, a recent takeover of the club by David Hilton has raised the spirits of the supporters.
