SOUTHEND United fans have their say on Saturday's 2-0 win against York City.
The actions and efforts of the management staff and players couldn’t be any more different than those of the chairman. Jack Bridge different gravy.
@Jones616Kevin
Really proud of our team and what they did on the field in the midst of all off field issues. Full credit to them and Kev.
@NicaraguaVisit
In the circumstances, a great performance and full credit to the coaching staff and the players who are still awaiting their January salaries. Another clean sheet and Bridge again man of the match. Only criticism is that we still waste too many chances, which could have cost us on another day.
@tommyharris57
A horrible game with time wasting opponents. Three points though, and back into a play-off position
@cjblues2505
The players showed real grit and determination to grind out a result today driven on by great support from the fans. But for the action or inaction of one man we should all be smiling now.
@djmikejolly
So pleased today the support and team connected and a terrific battling performance. KM continues to work tirelessly for the club. I am not ignoring the background stuff and cannot change it BUT can and do whole heartedly support the team.
@lmorris_lee
Fantastic performance today. Despite all the off field trauma and continuous bad news. The management and players are working wonders on the pitch. Won our individual battles against a resolute York.
@dan_mays86
Scrappy game against another team intent on stopping us playing. Bridge again outstanding as was Lopata with his last ditch tackling. Keeper still worries me but you can't knock the desire from the team or management. Only one bad apple in this barrel! Upper hand for next week
@YeattsMatthew
If there was ever justice in a game then it's today. Yet another team comes to Roots Hall and time wasted from minute one and showed no interest in playing positively so yes that win was well deserved
@SearchTerry
Scrappy game but thank goodness we have Jack Bridge we rely on him solely to create our openings
@MikeJon30206092
Jack Bridge was fantastic, popping up all over the place, and being a handful Murphy and Cards linking well together up front. Needed that win, to keep in contention of the play off places. Solid performance, and a deserved win
@steveg671
Given the off field travesty that Martin is fully responsible for Maher et al are performing absolute miracles. King Kev should be awarded NL Manager of the Month every month!
@299Peter
A solid and professional performance against another opponent happy to fake injuries and waste time from the beginning. Bridge was the difference yet again - absolutely outstanding. Great to see Murphy and Cardwell starting to striker up a partnership. 10/10 for King Kev & Co.
@DanDobisz
Today we were more patient than last week some credit to York for their early second half performance but once that pen went in their early spoiling tactics came back to haunt them. Baffles me why no EFL club has come in for JB.
@phillsilver9
It's amazing that Maher & co. can still churn out wins in these toxic times for SUFC. Like it or not, Blondy is our number one for the foreseeable future, good for him to get a clean sheet today.
