ENGLAND’S best young footballers are coming to Billericay Town in April.

Town’s New Lodge stadium has been chosen to host England under 18’s side match with Northern Ireland in the SAFIB Centenary Shield.

And Billericay’s co-owner Nick Hutt is proud the club have been picked.

“We’re thrilled to be honest,” said Hutt.

“When we first saw the opportunity we thought it was a bit of a long shot.

“But I think our enthusiasm in wanting to host the fixture won us the fixture in the end.

“We’re over the moon and just can’t wait to host it.

“It’s a real compliment for us and I think it speaks volumes for the progress the club have made in recent years.”

The match will take place on Friday April 14, kick off 7pm.
