BLONDY Nna Noukeu has extended his loan spell at Southend United.

The shot-stopper, who is with the Shrimpers from Stoke City, has made 16 appearances since signing in September.

And he will now be remaining at Roots Hall for at least another week.

Blues boss Kevin Maher confirmed: "Blondy's loan has been extended for another week.

"The league have allowed us to do that which is good news."

Shrimpers shot-stoppers Steve Arnold and Collin Andeng Ndi are both back in training but have yet to feature in any kind of match since returning to action at Boots & Laces.

"We're trying to get Stevie and Collin up to speed but it's been difficult," added Maher.

"We've had games Saturday, Tuesday and we've not had the numbers to out another game on.

"But they will continue to get themselves in the best shape possible."

Arnold has not featured since August due to a hip problem while Andeng Ndi has not played since suffering a hamstring injury in November.

It was confirmed by the club on Friday that Nna Noukeu would be staying with the Shrimpers for a further month.
