SOUTHEND United midfielder Jack Wood has extended his loan spell at Tonbridge Angels until the end of the season.

Langley has scored three goals in 13 games for the National League South side.

And Tonbridge boss Jay Saunders is pleased the 20-year-old will be staying in his squad for longer.

“I’m very pleased we have Jack’s services until the end of the season,” Saunders told the club’s website.

“I believe he has a big part to play in our efforts to try and reach the play offs.

“I haven’t always been able to use him but he has never moaned, never complained and taken his chances when they’ve come along, a model player.

"Thanks to Kevin Maher at Southend United for agreeing to this loan.”

Wood has made five substitute appearances for Blues since signing from Kings Langley in January 2022.
