THE FA hearing into Kacper Lopata’s departure from Southend United has gone the way of the defender.

Lopata handed in his notice at the Shrimpers following a ‘serious breach of contract’ which saw him having to wait an extra 28 days for his January wages.

The initial hearing, held with the National League, also went the way of Lopata but Blues opted to appeal against the decision.

However, that has now also gone against Blues, with Lopata taking to social media to write: Kasp 2, Ron 0.

Lopata spent time on loan at the Shrimpers last season before returning on a permanent basis in September.

The 21-year-old made 44 appearances in total, scoring one goal.

He is now free to join another club without them having to pay a transfer fee.

Southend United are expected to release a statement this afternoon.
