MYSTERY surrounds whether or not PG Site Services will continue as the main sponsors of Southend United.

The Kent based company agreed a three year deal with the Shrimpers last summer.

But they have again taken to social media to throw doubt on whether or not they will still remain involved at Roots Hall.

They posted on Twitter: "We will be making an announcement on Thursday at 3pm regarding our future as main sponsors for Southend United following the Trust's recent publications."

PG Site Services then also liked a tweet which suggested the Shrimpers would be looking for a new sponsor next season.

Back in February PG Site Services complained they had been kept in the dark by the club and threatened 'further legal action'.

They also announced in September they would withdrawing their support of the Shrimpers before the club released a statement to confirm the relationship was still good.

PG Site Services also loaned the club another £40,000 in December but Blues have struggled financially throughout the season with staff and players being paid late.

Chairman Ron Martin revealed last month he was keen to sell the club.

The Echo has contacted PG Site Services for comment but they have yet to respond.
