CONCORD Rangers suffered a 1-0 defeat at Taunton Town in National League South tonight.

Lee Lucas bagged the only goal of the game in the 21st minute as the Beach Boys suffered a fourth defeat in succession.

Concord remain bottom of the table, nine points from safety but with games in hand on those above them.

In Isthmian North it was also a painful night for Hullbridge Sports as they suffered late disappointment in a 2-1 defeat to Bury Town at Lower Road.

Tony Stokes’ side seemed set for a share of the spoils but Ramadan scored again in stoppage time to secure all three points for the visitors.

Hullbridge remain bottom of the table and are now three points behind second from bottom Coggeshall Town who won 2-1 at fourth placed Stowmarket Town.

Elsewhere, 13th placed Basildon United lost 3-1 at home to Felixstowe & Walton United.

Kye Jude was on target for Basildon.
