SOUTHEND United boss Kevin Maher and his management team will be taking part in a charity dinner at Roots Hall on Wednesday April 26 in aid of the Justin Edinburgh 3 Foundation.

Maher will be joined by first team coach Mark Bentley and his assistant Darren Currie in an event which is supported by Scott and Mears and Dedman Gray.

Organised by five UCFB students, the event will take a look down memory lane as Southend’s management team tell never heard before stories on their playing and managerial careers.

The Justin Edinburgh 3 Foundation was established in memory of the late Justin Edinburgh, who passed away in June 2019.

The foundation works to raise awareness around the importance of defibrillators and campaigns for #JustinsLaw, as they seek to make defibrillators compulsory in all health and sports facilities in the UK.

Guests at the event will be treated to live music from Adam Duffill, who will set the scene with his soulful melodies.

The three football legends, Maher, Bentley, and Currie, will then take to the stage for a lively discussion about their careers, their football philosophy, and their experiences on and off the pitch.

In addition to the entertainment, there will be a raffle and auction, offering attendees the chance to win some fantastic prizes, including signed sports memorabilia.

All proceeds from the event will go towards the Justin Edinburgh 3 Foundation, helping to fund vital research and awareness campaigns.

Limited tickets for the dinner are still available, priced at £60 with under 18s priced at £50.

Included in the price is a welcome drink, three-course meal, signed gift, meet and greet with a professional photo and an event programme.
