SOUTHEND United starlet Henry Sandat is attracting interest from Championship clubs, Echosport understands.
The 18-year-old scored once in 12 games for the Shrimpers first team last season and was watched by a number of sides’ scouts towards the end of the previous campaign.
Sandat - who has been with Blues since the under-nines - is out of contract at Roots Hall this summer but cannot be offered a new deal as the club remain in a transfer embargo.
However, should the former Eastwood School pupil depart then the Shrimpers will be due to receive compensation because of his age.
When asked about his future at the end of last season, Sandat said: “I’ve been at the club since the under-nines so my love for the club will never go, but we’ll see what happens.”
