FORMER Southend United defender Harry Lennon has been forced to retire at the age of 28.
The centre-back made 39 appearances during an injury hit three years with the Shrimpers before being released at the end of the 2020/21 season.
The defender spent has spent the last two campaigns with Wrexham, making 20 appearances.
But Lennon has continued to be hit by injury concerns and has now opted to hang up his boots.
Wrexham have also confirmed Jake Hyde – who spent last season on loan with Southend United – will not be offered a new contract to stay at the Racecourse Ground.
