SOUTHEND United boss Kevin Maher has confirmed former West Ham United goalkeeper David Martin is training with the Shrimpers.
The 37-year-old shot-stopper has been in with Blues for the past week.
And it is a situation Maher will continue to keep an eye on.
“Dave has come in and helped with training,” said Maher.
"He’s using us to get fit and we’re using him.
"He’s helped Collin (Andeng Ndi) and he’s been brilliant with that.
"He’s still fit and looks like he can play so it’s a situation we will keep an eye on."
Martin, who was with MK Dons last season, has made 409 appearances in his career.
