ISTHMIAN PREMIER: Canvey Island fought back from 2-0 down to beat Haringey Borough 3-2 on the opening day of the season.

Matthew Young put the visitors in front from the penalty spot after just five minutes before Kasim Aidoo made it 2-0 just six minutes later.

However, the Gulls hit back with Mason Hall firing home in the 72nd minute before Bradley Sach levelled things up just six minutes later.

But Canvey did not finish there and made sure of all three points five minutes from time with Evans Kouassi scoring the game’s decisive goal.

Billericay Town also started the season in winning style with a 1-0 win against Kingstonian at New Lodge.

Ade Azeez bagged the only goal of the game just before half-time.

A new look Concord Rangers kicked off the campaign with a 3-0 defeat at Enfield Town while Hashtag United drew 2-2 with Dulwich Hamlet in their first ever fixture at this level.

Dulwich were reduced to 10 men after just 12 minutes with Manny Parry being red card.

However, the visitors took the lead six minutes before the break with Luke Wanadio on target.

An own goal from Cem Tumkaya levelled the scores before Wanadio put Dulwich back in front in the 74th minute.

However, Hashtag fought hard and bagged a late share of the spoils with Toby Aromolaran netting an equaliser four minutes into stoppage time.
