BILLERICAY Town head to Cray Wanderers today looking to continue their unbeaten start to the season.

Town have triumphed in both of their Isthmian Premier Division matches so far this term.

And boss Gary McCann was pleased with how side bagged a 1-0 win at Cheshunt in the week.

“I’m really happy with the win,” McCann told the club’s YouTube channel.

“To back up Saturday’s win was pleasing.

“We started with purpose and got out on the front foot.

“We pressed and got after them. “Credit to them, they came back into the game and we had to make some adjustments to accommodate their movement and pace.

“Once we did that we limited them to very little and I’m really pleased with the resilience of the team.

“Six points and two clean sheets is a very good start.”

Billericay are one of five sides in the league to have won both their matches so far and will be looking for another three points against Cray who have yet to pick up a point.

Concord Rangers have also lost both their games so far this season and host Margate at the Aspect Arena this weekend.

Hashtag United beat Concord 4-1 last time out and will be aiming to build on that win when they head to Bognor Regis Town while Canvey Island, who lost 4-1 to Dulwich Hamlet on Tuesday, travel to Kingstonian.
