ROCHFORD Hundred kicked off the Regional One South East season with a 37-31 win at Old Northamptonians.
However, there was disappointment for Westcliff who lost 34-26 at home to Letchworth Garden City.
In Regional Two Anglia, Southend Saxons lost 32-31 at Woodford.
