ON-LOAN Chelsea goalkeeper Ted Curd is enjoying his first taste of senior football after signing for Hashtag United on loan.

The 17-year-old has made an impressive start with the Tags, pulling off a number of fine saves during a man of the match display against Kingstonian last time out.

And Curd was happy with his stops in the 2-2 draw.

"It felt good and instinctive," Curd told Hashtag's YouTube channel.

"I wasn’t really thinking and was just getting in the right positions and reacting.

"I'm happy with my performance.

The share of the spoils put Hashtag 14th in the Isthmian Premier League Division.

And Curd is adjusting to the level.

"The football is different," said Curd.

"There are loads of long balls and the ref is the biggest thing.

"He gets the most stick.

"In our games he strolls through but in this I don’t know how many times it got stopped and he’s booking someone.

“I adapt as I go and you have to deal with games differently.

“It’s such a long game because of the stoppages so I’ve told myself I need to give myself breaks so I can concentrate when I need to."
