SOUTHEND United fans have their say on Saturday's 3-0 defeat to York City.

If facing adversity is a measure of strength then we are as strong as we could EVER be as a fanbase - it can’t get any more adverse a situation than this, surely?! I’m broken by it all & can’t see an end to it that leaves anything that resembles my beloved club - hope I’m wrong.

@TheGriffmiester

One man ruined the game today, another man has ruined our proud club. So proud of Kev and the boys, so heartbroken about the club I have loved for over 40 years being so utterly destroyed because of the selfish greed of one parasite of a man and his greedy family.

@GarrySmithMT

We are fast running out of road. Our beloved club needs urgent help. Sell up Ron. These really are the most desperate of times. The players and management have our deepest sympathies and our unwavering support.

@TrenamanMartin

The level of resiliency shown by players, coaches and staff has been astonishing over the last year but this game has finally broken them and us. It feels hopeless now, don't see anything coming up that suggests otherwise.

@Moorhouse79

We were tightrope walking before today and it feels like it’s snapped with those two red cards. I would love to know if Ron is remotely bothered by today’s events. He needs to take action with immediate effect. Whatever happens, I will remember today for some time.

@piershewitt

Sadly this has been coming - we’re starting to lose players through injury, and now frustration is creeping in. Unless Ralph is fit we’ll have 12 players on Tuesday night and only two defenders. The car crash of the hierarchy needs to be sorted.

@AndrewHackling

Result doesn’t matter, every player gave everything they could. Maher & Co legends. One man has the power to fix this and chooses not to. Keep strong everyone

@PhilOwen702

A new low point in following Southend United, if that is indeed possible anymore. Difficult to see how we can come back from this point. Feels like the end.

@djmikejolly

Not ashamed to admit my eyes were welling up at the end. This is heartbreaking. Complete devastation unraveling right in front of us. To see those players and management standing proud at the end of the game, showing so much emotion, it just hit home. Heroes.

@ScottyBarber12

Wind the club up, get rid of Martin and start again, will take time but can’t see a better way forward

@simoncooper99

Very sad day. Team depleted, now depleted further, not sure we have enough players to play Tuesday. In the end the fans had enough and went on the pitch out of pure frustration. BUT, again the bond between the fans and players was clear again. The club is dying in front of us

@shrimperjon

Surely the time has come to start again. Southend Council should give land to the supporters trust and let them start from scratch. Martin must go but I don’t want him getting money.

@p_harrison1

Heartbroken. Every single person involved with this football club is broken, depleted, emotionally drained and just tired. If there is only 3 weeks left of this club being around then there's nobody else I would like to spend them with then you guys reading this.

@HarryConstabl13

Heartbroken, supported my amazing club home and away for 50 years, incredible management yet parasite of an owner. I want the club to survive for my family as well as myself, need to take action stronger protests,voices need to heard otherwise how do I tell my six year old there's no club.
