SOUTHEND United’s match with Maidenhead United was halted for four minutes by protesting Shrimpers supporters at Roots Hall tonight.
Angry fans threw tennis balls and toy rats onto the pitch while chanting for the club’s controversial chairman Ron Martin to leave.

The match was also delayed in restarting by a drone flying above the pitch.
