CANVEY Island stormed to a 4-1 win against Margate in the Isthmian Premier Division.

Rob Girdlestone, Bradley Sach, Sam Mvemba and Elliott Ronto were all on target for the Gulls who now sit 14th in the table.

Hashtag United moved up to 11th after beating Wingate & Finchley 2-0 at the Len Salmon Stadium.

Alfie Cue scored both goals for the Tags, either side of a red card for Percy Kiangebeni for the hosts.

Elsewhere, Billericay Town drew 0-0 at Horsham and are seventh in the standings while Concord remain bottom, without a point to their name, after losing 2-0 at Dulwich Hamlet.

The Beach Boys had Joe Halsey sent off five minutes before the break when the game was still goalless.

In the second qualifying round of the FA Trophy, Basildon United lost 4-0 to Lowestoft Town at the Hive.

Basildon had Sid Walker red carded in the 56th minute when already 3-0 down.

There was also plenty of the drama in the second qualifying round of the FA Vase with Great Wakering Rovers beating Buckhurst Hill 4-3 at Burroughs Park.

The visitors were reduced to 10 men after seven minutes before Wakering surged 3-0 in front with Harry Talbot scoring twice before Demi also hit the back of the net.

However, the visitors worked their way back to 3-3 before Callum Boylan netted a winner for Wakering.

Hullbridge Sports beat Harlow Town 6-5 on penalties after the match had ended in a 2-2 draw.

 

Solomon Ofori scored twice for Hullbridge.

White Ensign also triumphed on penalties, beating Cornard United 4-3.

The two teams drew 2-2 in normal time with Ezekiel Bademosi and Joe Gregory on target for Ensign who also had goalkeeper Harry Fairs sent off.
