ROCHFORD Hundred and Westcliff were both beaten in Regional One South East on Saturday.
Rochford slipped to third in the table after losing 45-28 at Bedford Athletic while Westcliff lost 52-16 at Harpenden and remain second from bottom in the standings.
However, it was a memorable day for Southend Saxons who thrashed Norwich 96-8 to move top of the table.
In Counties Two Essex (South) table-topping Basildon beat Canvey 13-7.
