SOUTHEND United midfielder Noor Husin will miss Saturday’s FA Cup clash at Yeovil Town after being called up for Afghanistan.

The 26-year-old has been named in the Afghanistan squad for two World Cup qualifiers against Mongolia.

The first clash takes place tomorrow in Tajikistan before the two nations meet again next Tuesday at the MFF Football Centre in Mongolia.

Husin, who has started all 15 games for the Shrimpers so far this season, opted against teaming up with his country earlier on this season due to a shortage of players in Kevin Maher’s squad.

But he will be back in time to feature in next weekend’s National League clash with Solihull Moors at Roots Hall.
